In addition, the carbon material inserts on the body and neck allow for clear, plump sound that has been removed from excess low range. ■ 5 Position Selector Positions 2 and 4 allow you to get a halftone sound like a regular 3 single coil guitar without losing volume. ■ Focus Switch The switch of the tone knob is the Yamaha original “Focus Switch”. It has an increased number of pickups and is able to achieve aggressive tone changes that emphasize the medium and low range. ■ Selectable pickup: RSP02T with single coil equipped with humbucker RSP20, RSP20X, and P-90. Both of them are Yamaha proprietary pickups and feature a powerful tone made by Arnico V magnets. ■ IRA (Initial, Response, Acceleration): I.R.A. is a technology that relieves stress between wood or wood and paint film by giving proper vibration to the instrument after completion. Players know that “bounce” is important for guitars. It is said to “sound better” by bouncing it in. This is because the stress that comes from the wood between the neck and the fingerboard, between the wood and the paint film, between the material and the hardware will become broken together and united. I.R.A. (Initial Response Acceleration) is a technique that relieves stress from painting – wooden sections by giving the guitar a unique vibration to the finished product. This process allows the guitar to close to the bounce and bring out the ideal body sound.
